Le Bateau is an Amsterdam-based designer duo, comprised of Laëtitia Delauney and Aurélia Noudelmann, who met in the DesignLab department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie. Our practice works with the conception of hybrid boats, where exchanges of knowledge, techniques, and ideas can take shape. These boats are created by and for inclusive initiatives in close collaboration with participating artists. We approach our work physically and conceptually: to facilitate rooms to reflect on community practices, especially for feminist and queer initiatives.

DesignLab project Le Bateau’s participatory whale-shaped boatbuilding worksite official spring 2024 opening takes place at fanfare on Saturday 9th March at 14h30 and continues til nighttime.
