Bye - bYe

Hi boo's, we've got something really special bittersweet coming up this Wednesday 13th.
As you might have known we have to leave our beloved space in the shopping mall, and this will be our last event there.
For this we invited some sweet friends to come and fill up the space one last time with their beauty and dance all together after their performances.

Pressing Private Buttons
Fri
25 Feb
— 27 Feb 2022

OPENING: February 25th from 18:00

<<<Dear friends,
It is with great pleasure that Pressing Private Buttons ~ @pressingprivatebuttons ~ is back with a second release and exhibition at Boo 2 project space. Succeeding the first edition of PPB, which took the shape of an online doorbell album and a printed publication, Benjamim Furtado ~ @benjamjm ~ has invited friends and colleagues to playfully think along his frame of thought around privacy anew.

With the doorbell as the narrator, Furtado reminisces what it means to invite yourself into someone else’s space. How a doorbell sends a sound into somebody’s home, the house number marking a territory, mailboxes inviting physical exchange. Observing house facades and their instruments, Furtado considers these exterior apparatuses as mediators between our intimate spaces and the public sphere.

Catching glimpses through windows, which separate the air into public and private, Furtado’s imagery invites us to reflect on the blurry line between public and private space in the city. What do these facades represent? Are they really the perimeter of our intimate spaces?>>>
