SELECTED 2020 - video portraits

Since 2012 Gerrit Rietveld Academie presents works by selected graduates in SELECTED. Participants have all been nominated by an independent jury during the Graduation Show for the annual ‘GRA Awards’ in three categories: Autonomous Arts, Applied Arts and Thesis.
This year, the participating artists are: Irene Ha, Clémence Lollia Hilaire, Matilda Kenttä, Simon Marsiglia, Mayis Rukel, Alexis Stephenson, Nomin Zezegmaa, Eric van Zuilen.

Gerrit Rietveld Academie presents SELECTED: an annual exhibition with work of selected graduates. Participants of the exhibition have all been nominated during the Graduation Show for the annual ‘GRA Awards’ by an independent jury in three categories: Autonomous Arts, Applied Arts en Thesis. This year we collaborate for the third time with Looiersgracht 60 to present the exhibition. SELECTED 2018 takes place from 7 until 16 September.

Jury

The jury members of Autonomous Arts were Margriet Schavemaker (head collections and research Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam) and Ad de Jong (visual artist). The jury members of Applied Arts were Rieke Vos (curator at NDSM-werf) and Joost Grootens (graphic designer with a background in architecture). The jury members of Thesis were Sacha Bronwasser (art historian & art critic) and Kaweh Modiri (visual artist, filmmaker & writer).
